Meet Brady Skiles, PA-C

Brady joined WiseCare Urgent Care in after completing his Graduate Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Bethel University in Humboldt, Tennessee in May of 2019. We appreciate the skills and expertise he acquired in his physician assistant program.

In addition to completing rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, and primary care, he completed his ER rotation at Henry County Emergency Room / McKenzie Hospital, where he gained valuable experience learning procedures in the ER such as abscess drainage, simple sutures, multi-layered sutures, and reductions of simple dislocations. In his busy ER, he was also tasked with the management of heart attacks, strokes, new-onset atrial fibrillation, and diabetic ketoacidosis. He had the pleasure of diagnosing and treating a wide variety of patients in different settings.

Additionally, In his PA program, he completed collegiate sport clinical rotations with Football, Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, and Women’s Volleyball. He also completed rotations with McKenzie Hospital Physical Therapy Department, and Sports Orthopedic & Spine. He earned his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Bethel University where he served as president of the Athletic Training Student Association chapter and a Founding member, Iota Tau Alpha, National Honor Society for Athletic Training.

He spent much of his undergraduate career helping many athletes with various types of orthopedic injuries. He worked with two local high schools as an on-site Athletic Trainer during football games. In his position as a high school Athletic Trainer, he evaluated and treated acute injuries during football games which included sprains, strains, fractures, abrasions, and concussions.

He was also responsible for player safety and return-to-play status. He also referred patients to appropriate providers for further imaging and treatment if needed. In addition, he participated as a coach within the Buddy Ball organization which held sporting events for children and adults with special needs.

In addition to being board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Brady is also certified with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to perform DOT physical exams. He is currently accepting new primary care patients.
